Chris Swaine        Lead Vocals/Guitar
Chris is a bit of an anomaly as far as rock musicians go. As a child he was only allowed to listen to Christian music. Although he lived
through the 80’s he missed out on some of the greatest music of our time. It wasn’t until he was 16 that he was able listen to all styles of
music. This was in the heart of the grunge era when bands like Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Nirvana and Pearl Jam dominated radio
and MTV. These bands were his first musical influences.

Chris bought his first guitar at 20 years old and was taught to play by a friend. Shortly after, he and some friends started a band. Their
music was mostly originals with a few covers. They found out that North Missouri isn’t an ideal place for original bands to be discovered.
Frustrated with the lack of opportunity they went their separate ways.

After serving 4 years in the U.S. Army as a combat engineer he was released and settled in St. Louis. He attended STLCC and studied
music theory. He then moved back to north central Missouri. In that time he was in several bands and had a lot of fun. Then JB called and
asked him to audition for Split Decision. “When JB called I was stoked! The guys are all great musicians and our personalities clicked,
so here I am the rhythm guitarist for Split Decision.”

Chris is now being exposed to classic/southern rock for the first time. He has adapted well and is a solid addition to the lineup. (And not
just because he has a ton of nice PA equipment!)
